Lee Y. Greene & Associates, Inc. is a family-rooted professional surveying firm based in Hartselle, Alabama, serving North Alabama with dependable land surveying services, practical experience, and a commitment to doing the job right.
Mr. Lee Y. Greene, Jr., PE, PLS, Owner
Lee was born in 1968 in Scottsboro, AL and moved to Hartselle in 1971. He attended Hartselle City Schools until graduation from Hartselle High School in 1986. Afterwards, he attended Auburn University until graduation in 1990 in Civil Engineering. Lee is a Registered Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor with the Alabama Board of Licensure.
Lee is the chair of the Hartselle Veterans Parade and the vice-president of the Hartselle Historical Society. He is the immediate past president of the Alabama Society of Professional Land Surveyors, travelling the state speaking about land surveying issues. He currently serves as the chair of the ASPLS Historical Committee and the Legislative Committee. He is the owner of Lee Y. Greene & Associates Engineering and Surveying of Hartselle.
Lee is a descendant of Continental Army Col. William Lee of the American Revolution and CSA Lt. Gen. Stephen Dill Lee. His interest in history of Alabama was instilled in him by his grandmothers in Selma, Alabama. He and wife, Lisa, live in Hartselle.

Lee “Senior” a registered Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor and agricultural engineering graduate of Auburn University founded Lee Y. Greene & Associates, Inc. after a distinguished career with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, formerly the Soil Conservation Service, where he served as an area engineer.
Drawing on his deep agricultural roots and practical experience conserving farmland and natural resources across Alabama, he established the firm to provide high-quality land surveying services. He married Glenda Goodwin Greene and raised sons Lee Youngblood Greene, Junior and Matthew Price Greene, Senior. Today the company continues that legacy from its Hartselle, Alabama office, proudly serving North Alabama under the leadership of his son, Lee Y. Greene Jr.

~ In Memoriam ~
Mrs. Glenda Greene - (1945-2023)
Mrs. Greene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was defined by her deep love for family, her strong faith, and her commitment to her community.
Born in Selma, Alabama, Glenda carried her Southern roots with pride throughout her life. She pursued her passion for learning at Samford University and the University of Alabama, earning a Master’s degree in History, and formed lifelong friendships as a member of the Delta Zeta sorority.
Glenda’s legacy lives on in the many lives she touched, the friendships she nurtured, and the love she gave so freely. She will always be remembered with affection, laughter, and gratitude.
Mr. Steve Rogers - (1955-2019)
Steve worked for more than 30 years as a land surveyor and was a valued part of the Lee Y. Greene & Associates family.
Outside of work, he enjoyed spending many hours rocking in his chair, watching sports, and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide as a lifelong fan and sideline coach. He was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Steve was loved by many family members, friends, and special co-workers. He is missed dearly, and his memory remains an important part of our company family.
